"All I ever wanted to do was play football! I started out playing for a boys team when I was six then when I turned nine I was lucky enough to get into the Arsenal Junior team - on my first trial!
I train for hours every day as I play for Arsenal as well as for England; it’s pretty exhausting but I love it. It's a really good feeling to represent your country.
I’ve scored more goals than Ronaldo has this season and he’s my favorite player! I set myself a target of scoring 50 and now I've reached that and there are still a few games to go so it's not going to stop there. I didn't say anything to anyone because people might have thought I was being cocky, but I had confidence in myself.
We don't get as many fans as I'd like because women's football isn't promoted in the same way as men's. But a lot of the blokes who support Arsenal are happy that we're wining lots at the moment, as the men's team isn’t doing so well.
I don’t think enough people know about women’s football – we need more teams in the women’s league so that there’s more competition.
I used to get a lot of negative comments from people saying things like “she’s only a girl” but I’ve proved them all wrong. Footie’s still a male game but I think girls are getting less intimidated.
You can’t be scared. If you want something, set yourself goals and you’ll achieve them – however high they are."

Arsenal Women's fan Lucia, 12, says:
"I watched the team winning the league and it was so exciting when they scored! Girls should get more into football - it's not just for boys!"
